BaFin schema coverage in Fynrex
About BaFin PSD2 reporting
German payment institutions report to BaFin under the Zahlungsdiensteaufsichtsgesetz (ZAG), which implements PSD2 in German law. BaFin requires quarterly transaction reports submitted via the Meldewesen-Plattform (MVP) portal. The MVP portal has its own submission envelope schema that wraps the ISO 20022 XML payload — both layers must be compliant for a submission to be accepted.
BaFin published a significant MVP envelope schema update in August 2025 (v6.1 → v6.2) and an ISO 20022 payload schema update in January 2026. Fynrex detected both changes and regenerated affected customer packages within 24 hours of each registry update.
BaFin MVP submission workflow with Fynrex
-
01Dual schema validationFynrex validates the ISO 20022 payload against the current
pain.001.001.04schema, then wraps it in the MVP envelope and validates the complete package against MVP portal schema v6.2. -
02File naming complianceBaFin's MVP portal requires specific file naming conventions including institution ID, reporting period, and schema version. Fynrex generates filenames that conform to the current MVP documentation.
-
03SFTP delivery to MVPSubmit via SFTP integration directly to the BaFin MVP portal, or download the generated package for manual upload. MVP submission confirmation codes are captured and archived.
-
04MVP rejection parsingBaFin MVP rejection responses include structured error codes. Fynrex parses these codes, maps them to specific schema fields, and generates correction guidance or an automatic corrected package.
